ok I don't anything about OBD1 and OBD2 or any of that. Is that a classification of ECU? I have a '94 Civic, so everyone seems to be telling me that I already have OBD1, and therefore it's not really an "upgrade", except in the sense that I will be getting a VTEC ECU. Now do I still need a new distributor?

hehehe sorry for so many posts here... but I guess it is my own thread... I think I have figured it out from what Jeff was telling me. My D15B7 distributor is only a problem in that it is physically in the way of the new D16Z6 cylinder head, so you are suggesting I grind out the uppermost bolt-on location.... right?

That is what I said

Your car is OBD1, most of the users here are doing OBD0 mini-me setups with z6 heads.

You can use a Z6 distributor if you want, thats fine... Bolt on, no problem. If you cant find one, you can use your stock d15b7 distributor (since it is obd1 and it is mpfi) The alignment is a bit off for mounting. Grind out the upper hole and only use 1 bolt. Once you try fitting it on, you will see what I mean.
