Dancing Speedo

Default Dancing Speedo

Guys help me track down the problem I have a 96 DX coupe, and the Speedo dances like a *****, I made sure the cables were connected properly, and etc... gonin' crazy need some input thanks in advance...

what does that mean here's what it does, at a complete stop the speedo gauge will go crazy, but when the car is in motion the gauge works,but I do think that's it's a lil' off but not by much.

Make sure the speedo cable is well lubed, if not it can get real jumpy.

this shoudl be an electric spedo, check to make sure the sensor on the tranny is good and the wireing isnt split or cut anywhere.

replace speed sensor first, if its not that then get a new cluster. Ive had that problem in 94-97 accord a few times, and it was the cluster every time.
