Default dammit car won't start !

My 1990 integra has been of the road for about 4 to 5 months.
We replaced the spark plugs , also sanded them down a bit.
There was a little bit of gas in the tank , and I put $5.00 in just to see if it would start , still no good.
The motor turns over thats about it.

I know heaps of people have had this problem , just wondering if anyone have any ideas on what to try next.
Thanks guys

Well you know that your starter is good. I would reccomend adding a fuel stabilizer/drying agent.

More info would be good. Like do you have spark, fuel pressure, how is the timing ect.

Ah ok , yep I do have spark , we have just put a new dizzy on it today that was of a b16a2 , and this engine is b16a1 , but I doubt that would have any effect on the car not starting , we did check for spark and its fine.
Could it be that the gas in it have turned into fumes over the 4-5 month period.
Another thing , is that its only got the standart b16a manifold/ open headers on it , and when its trying to start it will throw massive flames about 1m long out . haha .

Il check on the fuel pressure in the morning , thanks for the help.

so if it throws flame you have everything you need to run the engine (fuel, spark, compression)
so check the timing, the dizzy might be off since you just changed it, and reset the ecu for fun

indeed, make sure your firing order is on, and also check fuel pressure. It's possible your main relay could have gone out.

Yeh ok , I might rip the dizzy out and just make shure its all in the right place etc..
Also going to empty the gas tank and put some new petrol in.
Im assuming that the firing order/leads for a b16a2 dizzy would be the same as a b16a.

Thank you all for the help..!

isn't b16a2 an obd2 dizzy? i dunno if that matters. but u aint gotta rip the dizzy apart to set the firing order proper... jus unplug then plug back in.
