The D17 comes on the new 01+ civics. I don't think anything is interchangeable

Re:d17 crank in a d16 ?
No, the civics with the single cam motors are still D's. Now they have DIS and all that other crap. However, don't the new D's spin the other way? I know the exhaust exits the head in the rear. I think they are reversed.

Re:d17 crank in a d16 ?
ya thats correct, they spin the othe way, so I would say no to the crank. firing order is probably different.

Re:d17 crank in a d16 ?
D17's still spin counter clockwise guys... ::) and exhaust is still of the front side of the head..

Re:d17 crank in a d16 ?
yeah jeff is right...
the d17 still looks like a d16, except its a bit more boxed... the oil pan is more squared and a bit larger. They have one on an auto stand at the auto recycler where I got my d16z6. My guess'd be they are interchangable... only one way to find out! |
