Ok, please correct me if im wrong.

I have a d16z6(obd1) , is it possible to use a d16y8 dizzy(obd2,i think) with a d16z6 motor?

here is the wisdom:

D16Z6 dizzy has 2 plugs to the wireing the y8 has one

the D16z6 dizzy will only fit the d16z6 head correctly, the y8 is setup like a d16a6(if i remember right) its not even close to the z6 head bolt patern. all you can do is put one bolt on it. The ignitor and coil are the SAME and will even replace the b16a2/3 ignitor and coil. they are the same part number.

 

z6 dist bolt pattern is different. y8 dist bolts are the same config. as a6 dist.
