I just got the tranny split open. It seems like I have play in the input shaft and the counter shaft. Gonna keep taking it apart, but how much should I care about play in the countershaft if I already am fixing the input shaft?

Re: d16z6 tranny input shaft bearing replacement
Well, I fucked up.
Everything went together well until the snapring got bound up when I was bolting the case back together and it shattered the bearing on the top of the countershaft.
Anyone know if this bearing (on the top when looking at the countershaft still set in the case) would swap from my d15 tranny that is still on the car? Thats my only option really or I'll have to wait until wednesday probably to be able to pick up a new bearing because of memorial day.
I'm ------- cursed, I swear it.

Re: d16z6 tranny input shaft bearing replacement
One more question my tranny gurus... I swapped the CS bearing that I broke, got everything back together, glued up the case, tightened all the bolts down, and I looked over and saw an extra washer sitting next to me. It was supposed to go under the 30mm CS nut. On a scale of 1 to 100, how important is this washer to the proper functioning of the transmission? Should I take it back apart again and throw it in there or just say ---- it?
