Whatsup i just bought a d16z6.... i have the d15b7 now and i wanna build the z6.. I know this will sound bad but where can i find the cheapest rods pistons camshafts and other internals for cheap... i dont want used either. Also what are some name brands i wanna look out for that are bad. im gonna be running a turbo on the engine. Also with a built engine with id say... connecting rods, pistons, camshaft, valves, valve springs, and a few other internals.. what kinda boost would be safe and what kinda boost would be pushing it? Leave the head and everything in it stock for turbo, unless your trying to run NHRA.

Cheapest aftermarket:

Rods Eagle esp rods 300ish
Srp Pistons 300ish

That's all you need. IMO

i have sandblasted z6 rods if you want them. they should hold to about 250 hp.

rods on ebay these days are goin for 309 shipped.

 

ok ive found the rods for 309 off ebay.. and ive found some je/srp pistons for 359 off of nopionline.com... Now what is this notching the block? And please explain why not to build the head of this engine? I wanna be able to run 8-15 psi and have it as a daily driver.. Why not put better valvesprings and camshaft in? Also i have never done this before i am learning everything i need now... How hard is it to change the rods and pistons. Also when you replaced the pistons what did you do about the piston rings? do the new pistons come equiped or what.. Can someone explain all of this for me... Thanks alot. This website helps a good bit.
