d16z6 rods?

I was reading a post on antother forum and somone was saying d16 rods cant handle much more then 200hp. Anyone know anything about that?

yup...the general consensus i've heard is about 220 whp, but people have definitely gone past that, but reliability becomes an issue (have you ever seen a d16 rod? they are tiny)

Yeah dude...i wouldn't go over 220hp on the z6 rods. Under that should be ok, but anything over is just askin for trouble. Check into the Crower econo rods if u need more strength, or if u don't have the money, y not get some b18's and machine and shotpeen them? Just a thought...

i've seen people bend rods on lightly modded motors as well as stock motors that are not putting out anywhere near 200hp. It all depends on THE CONDITION OF YOUR MOTOR and your TUNING
