Well, considering he said he has a z6 swapped in with a p28 common sense would seem to be that it already is obd1 :P

If your setup runs for the z6, then that's exactly what you'll use for an ls/vtec. Only thing that would be majorly different would be the way the dizzy mounts...you would need one in obd1 to match your vtec head.

Ok, then the only change are in the dizzy right? but you mean the dizzy plugs.

Thanks

well no, i was running OBD0 with the z6 in my CRX. I had to use a button to activate vtec super ghetto.

yeah...thats ghetto fab. But then remember...you probably used an obd0 dist on on the vtec head with the pegs cut off and adjusted to correct timing. You can do the same...for ex. use a z6 dist on the b16 head.....the dist. plug will fit but not the pegs. bolting 1 of the pegs will run in + or -. So in order to run this...people cut pegs or even grinded open the holes to accomodate. I'm sure thats what you did. Vtec on a switch running an obd0 ecu. No fuel curve..

yes...you have the jumper to convert from 0 to 1, so you don't change anything from the plug part for the dist. So...your harness was a obd0....us an obd0 dist on the vtec head.

Top half is correct...bottom piece is wrong though. You can't run an obd0 dizzy on an obd1 ecu. The pickup wheels have more tines on obd1. You still need an obd1 dizzy, but you can either get an adapter harness for the dizzy (obd0-obd1) or splice the obd1 dizzy plugs onto your existing harness. Beware though...obd1 wire colors DO NOT match up to obd0.

A friend of mine says that if i put a GSR for example, i need new plugs for the intake manifold, and i need to put an LS intake mani so i can use it well.

Thats true?
