And Yes....you can boost at 12 compression. I've seen a few very famous honda drag guys do it before and I've done it myself. Its not the boost that blows your engine up...its the spark at the wrong time. Of course chances of detonation is higher with compressed air and higher cr.....but you can still boost....just not as much as volume won't allow.
the zc pistons w/ the z6 was pretty cool for its time. The zc pistons were quite awesome. They have characteristics resembling the ctr pistons...except the coating. I say they're pretty good bang for the buck...just tune it properly and enlarge the valve reliefs a bit

Yeah I've been doing alot of reading lately and basically everybody says the same thing. But what I can't seem to find is, can a higher compression pass smog. I think it can with a proper tune but what about a stock z6 map?
