d16y8 swap into crx dx
My buddy is putting a y8 in his 88 dx, and has asked for my help. Im familiar with doing the DPFI to MPFI wiring, so thats not the problem. Ive never delt with this swap before so im having problems finding out which distributor and computer to use. Are goal as of now is to have the car run so we are not worried about the V-tAk Yo! We just want to leave it ODBO.
So my question is can i use a pm6 and a crx si distributor? Also if i use the pm6 i assume that i need to use ODBO injectors.
Sorry ive searched but I havent really found anything that answers my questions, and my computer is a slow peace of ----

why not just use the obd0 si dizzy with a pr3/pw0 ecu, walk in the park. you could put it on a switch, or get a vtec controller... blah blah blah... best is a ecu IMO, or perhaps xenocron chipping services for your 90-91 pm6/pr4.
switching to obd1 is shitty IMO, the car doesnt like to start when its cold, ive done obd0 > obd1 about 5 times now and everytime it does the same bs. anywho, yeah thats my suggestion.
dont forget to drill that top dizzy hole to mount it up....

Will the pm6 work well with this motor without being chipped?
