Default d16y8 intake manifold issues

I have an 88si with a d16y8 and I have been using the stock ecu and intake manifold. I recently switched to a pg7 ecu and the y8 IM, TB, fuel rail and injectors. I am using the y8 map sensor and moved the AIT sensor to my intake piping about two inches from the TB. What do I need to do with the charcoal canister, dashpot and purge solenoid vavles. Can i just do away with all of this. The car has a really bad miss at low rpm and will hardly start. Do I have a vaccum problem or is thier something else I need to know. the y8 is out of a 2000 and is an automatic.

is the SI an auto or a stick? You need an IACV for it if is a manual.

In am using the original 88si 5 speed tranny. Did my car origonaly have an IACV if so where is it located? What about the charcoal can and all of that stuff? Can I just pretend it isn't there and not use any of it? I've been told to use a throttle body off an early 90's integra LS. Is this an upgrade or will it make all this easier for me?

1) the IACV sits on the back of the manifold.
2) they came with your car stock
3) the auto manifold does not have the correct mount on hte back for an IACV.
4) the LS TB wont hel you if your not running correcty, youll hae to find some way of gettthing the ICACV in there somewhere.

It's not that I want to go to obd2. I've been told that the y8 flows better than the a6. I had the intake laying in my garage collecting dust and it looks a lot better than the old one. The fuel rail definetly looks fatter than the old one and once again all this was just laying around.

the Y8 does flow better but it sounds like you are converting your entire car to OBD2

Simple answer all auto y8 96-00 don't have an iacv valve. remeber it is what the ecu needs that counts. The ecu should be looking for a iacv I believe like code 14. Just get a manual y8 man and your good to go. Also the other stuff is needed for smog but if you don't have smog in your arear you good to go. The crappy idle and misses is the lacking of the iacv valve
