D16Y8 IM + DSMs problem
I installed some DSM 450CCs into an D16Y8 IM and then bolted it up to my D16Z6 with greddy turbo kit.
I wired up a OBD0 resistor box, one yel/blk wire from the OBD1 dummy plug goes to the red wire of the resistor box, and then 4 wires come out of the resistor box and go to the yel/blk wires on the injectors.
Custom ROM for 450cc injectors, based on a P28 program.
Car cranks but won't turn over, after cranking for a couple seconds CEL16 flashes and disappears. CEL 16 ==Fuel Injector System malfunction
I'm damn decent at wiring, and I believe I covered all the basic stuff, can anyone shed some light on anything weird I might have overlooked? The Haynes manual said that there is a ground going to the IM, I don't remember every seeing that, unless they're talking abou the thermostat housing ground, which I've never touched.
My battery went dead, possibly from sitting for too long, so it is freshly replaced.
Thanks in advance, I attempted to include all relevant information.

Re:D16Y8 IM + DSMs problem
make sure you have all 4 yellow wires going to the 1 input wire on the resitor box... secondly, disable the injector test if you're using uberdata... if u still get the code after that, either ur resistor box is bad or one or more of ur injectors are bad... btw, there is no ground on the manifold (Y8 or Z6)...

Did you check the resister box with an OHM meter to make shure it has the right resistence?Resisters do wear out.Maybe its the custom rom.I wired mine the same way but Im using an AFC and it turned over the first crank.

forgot... check your wiring too... I got the same code after putting 345cc injectors on a Y8 manifold because my #4 injector wiring was grounding out... since ur car doesn't start, it leads me to believe something is wrong with the whole system (most likely resistor box), not just one injector... if it was just one it would start, but miss... 1 last thing... try a stock ecu... it could be your eprom

I would look into the wiring. You might have used the wrong wires going to the injectors from the resisitor box. Do a coninuity test to make sure.
