d16a1 rods fit d16z6 rods?

anyone knows if they are the same... i believe they are interchangeble. the d16a1 come out of the 88-89 ls integra's. heard they are much stronger also. thanks

yes they fit. Pretty much all US 86-89 tegs had the D16a1.
86-87 are much beefier like 90+ LS rods.

beefier, but weaker material.

So for less rotating weight, use the newer rods.

It's not worth swapping stock rods.

I pulled a set out of a 89 teg and it had pm7 on it, i thought those came from the ZC. I wish i had kept them...
If you go with stock, get em shot peened...
