Default d15b7 block, d16y7 head, timing belt & oil restrictor issues..help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so i picked up a 94 civic 4dr.

trashed head on it so i stuck a d16y7 head on it. me not being the honda guru i was told everything would swap right over.

so i bolted up the head. and the timing belt is too damn long

im using the b7 cam gear. i think the b7 has 106 teeth from what i now found out and the y7 belt has 104 teeth. so do i have to go buy a y7 belt now and would that do the trick?

also now i heard i might have to rip the head back off cause there is an oil restrictor built into the d16y7 head?

and the d15b7 has a oil restrictor built into the block.....so now do i have to rip the head off and pull the restrictor out of the block??

help a honda newb.

thanks

louie

The timing belt I'd go with the whatever the head is for. Toss the y7 gear back on it also. If you leave it in there then hell maybe your oil pressure should be kickass. lol. Never have to worry about spinning a rod bearing. :P I have a bunch of sohc timing belts if you want them. Just pay shipping and their yours. From various d-series so there should be something that'll work for your setup. Their all in pretty good shape too. Not some frayed up pieces of junk and still have some life left in them.
