How is it going, i have a JDM D15B Vtec, im tring to find pistons and rods for it but i cant seem to find any,i was thinking the D16Z6 pistons/rods would work but i reserched and everyones telling me it wont work, they say the piston will set 3mm above the block and the D15B crank is smaller than the D16Z6, if anyone know who has pistons and rods for the D15B let me know.but im looking for forged pistons/rods but that are the stock specs.

RODS/ h-beams (i think stock rod length is 137mm) leaving it stock specs
PISTONS/9.6:1 C/R (stock) leaving it stock specs
75mm x 84.5 (stock) want a 75.5mm bore

turboing soon so i need some forged internals to handle the presure pluse i need to rebuild it anyways.

 

any d-series h-beam rod will work, whether it be Eagle, Crower, Scat, Tuner Toys

as for pistons, about the only option are Vitaras, since there arent any aftermarket pistons available for the motor

 

damn so theres no pistons what so ever for it

 

what r the specs on the vitaras and will they work in the D15B and not stick out over the block?
and is it the same style piston as a D15b or D16Z6, like will it fit with no worries?

 

YCP vitaras can be used alone, but it is suggested to use a slightly thicker HG and measure how far above the deck they sit. Normally there is no problem if the block has not been decked much if at all.

He is carrying a special length rod for the D15B =) Check it out; I already have a set on order.

 

I used TT I beam rods and vitaras for my d15b build up.. no problems. I didnt even have to notch the block
