ok, i have a lsd transmission from the d15b jdm motor. what type of transmission fluids am i suppose to use? and can i just stick the axles in and spin it freely? the motor and trans are out, and i just installed a new clutch on it. i but the axles in it and try to spin it but can't? is that normal for lsd trans, do i need to put it back into the engine bay with the axles and tires on it before i can spin it? thanks in advance.

yeah, i can't spin the tranny at all. i stuck the two axles in and it doesn't spin freely. it's like stuck.

 

undo the 2 front bolts in the tranny mount(that go in the tranny)
if they are 2 long they hit the flywheel and stop the tranny from moving

 

what two are u talking about, i don't have a front mount?

 

is it in gear?

 

put the clutch plate on the input shaft and then try to turn it. that will give you more leverage, but you should be able to just turn the input shaft by hand

 

Just curious where'd you get the tranny. Not many around and I used to have one. Had one in my old hatch that I sold awhile ago. I used penzoil syncromesh and it worked fine.

 

still should be able to spin it. thats I found it my trannys were 4 or 5 speed before i bought them, try to force the shift pin thru all the gears and spin the input shaft to make sure 5th spun. Something aint right , dude
