Default d-seris swap issues need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! modified post

im puttin a 97 civic ex into a 99 civic ex and havin problem with the wring harnees it gose to the ecu but were the fuse box goese in to the harness is diff it cunfusing well some guy said i need a liek custume wiring harness very expsensive and some say ineed a jumper i have ot convert obd2a to obd2b or backwards i need som advise on this i suck at wring

im puttin a 97 civic ex d16y8 into a 99 civic ex and havin problems with the wring harnesses supposilby i have to put costum harness to convert it form obd2a to obd2b wicth is realy expensive, cant i jsut buy a ecu jumper hareness or sumtin im on the cheap side here, so any relistic ideas wanted
at frist i thought cuse my car were in the 96 throught 99 are it would work teach me for think

run the ecu thats in the car (the 99), use the harness (the 99) from the engine that was in the car... thats it done

dont have the 99 engine or harness jsut the shell and the fuse box harness i had a 97 civic i creasehd torque stear gone bad, and swaped the motors till i came to this fork in the road

The ECU plugs are different between cars, you need to run the 97EX ECU and engine harness, and swap over the under dash harnesses if there is still wierdness.
