D-series Versus B-series for Turbo Build?

D-series Versus B-series for Turbo Build?
Hey Guys, I currently have a 88 crx si with a DOHC zc, IHI turbo, JRC intercooler, etc. car is about 220hp tuned with turboedit.
Decided I need more power. I am Looking to build a 300-350hp setup. Ideally I want to stay away having a top heavy car.
I am thinking between a turbo mini-me built with forged internals, sleeves etc. Or a turbo built B16a forged internals etc.
The car isn't a daily driver, but I would like it to be streetable. Any advice would be great.
Also any comments on tranny setups for that power would be great as well . Thanks in advance.

Well, I guess I am woundering which engine once built will be more realiable under high boost.
I know I can build a 350hp dseries as well as a 350hp b16a. but which of the two will perform better and last.
Just looking for advice from people that have done one or the other and there thoughts.
Cheers

instead of paying for a B series engine swap. Just use the money for the engine you have now and just all out and get it fully built. That way youll have more HP than a regular turbo B series

Thanks, for the quick responses.
I dicided on Building the D16 block, Darton sleeves, eagle rods, edyne rollerwave pistons, blanced/knifed crank. blueprinted block.
A Z6 head with skunk2 internals, and a mild port.
Regarding the tranny setup? I have an d-series 88 si tranny, but was woundering if the zc dohc tranny with the b-series axles would be a better choice. Also regarding the carbon syncro's what is the advantage of them and also which LSD is good for the d-series trannys.
Cheers
