Re:d series transmission strength?
i dunno about the trans itself but i doubt the torque converter would hold up to much power

Swap to a manual if you can.

Re:d series transmission strength?
My buddy has a 95 Civic EX auto. bossting 11psi and it holds very good. All you need is a different torque converter.

Re:d series transmission strength?
werd on levelten.com. some ricer comes out to PIR with level ten shift kit and convertor and runs a consistent 14.8 on a greddy kit at 10psi. poop.

Re:d series transmission strength?
Why don't you just go with a manual? Turboing a auto car is kinda a waste cause if you get a bigger turbo your never gonna see full boost cause you car is gonna shift before it ever hits. Maybe just get a smaller turbo like a rhb5 or a small t3.

Re:d series transmission strength?
i'v seen some converters that would work well for boosted app...my friend and i want to try and modify a converter in order to increase or decrease fluid pressure in the converter so that it can ingage at different rpm..it would be simpler then the current ones..but yea..unless you have lots of cash i'd go manual
