Does anyone know if a throttle bodie from a Z6 will fit on an A6 intake manifold. If it would do I need to do anything for wires with the sensors? Thanks in advance.

I think it would, but arent they the same size?

 

I broke the tps on my a6 throttle body puttin in the motor. I really dont feel like drilling out the rivets to put a new tps on. To me its easier just to switch throttle bodies. If it works.

 

Different bolt pattern sorry. Wont fit without some modifying on the throttle body mounting holes.

 

They aren't rivets, that are screws. Just use a hack saw to slot the top of the head and unscrew it. I have done 3 that way. Just make sure you set it properly when you install it.

 

If the bolts are rusted though you may only be able to get the tps without an easy out. If the bolts are rusted give them a good spray of wd-40 and let it set for a while

 

Cool at least now I know it wont fit. Ill have to give the tps thing a try then. Are tps's interchangable? Thanks for the help so far.

Yes most of them are as far as I found checking the ohms.

 

Ya I found out the hard way the throttle bodies arent interchangeable

Bought an A6 JG 64mm throttle body and a zc venom intake manifold.....

---- didnt line up, the z6 top left stud is way off

I may just retap the one hole and it seems like it would work, other than this little vacuum thing on the top right of the A6 t/b

So i dunno, TPS sensors are interchangeable though, just have to calibrate them properly

 

You can use the TPS off almost any honda, I'm using an accord one right now...
