cvjoint/axel help

howdy, i'm trying to get the shaft and cv joint out of my crx, on the pass side. what all do i have to take off... i've taken everything off except the bottom arm.. and the rotor will not come out... i was told that the axels should just pop out of the tranny, but its not going anywhere.. and like i said i can't get the rotor to come out... should i just hit it with a rubber mallet or what?

lol Johnny..

remove the axle nut, remove the low control arm nut, and that should let you pop the head of the axle out of the hub. once that is free, crawl under the car and get a small prybar/flat head screwdriver and pry/pop the axle out of the transmission, be advised that fluid will come up.. It takes one good pop, and it should come right out.

The rotor doesnt come off, its just the nut, get a buddy to hold the brake pedal down, and get a large ass breaker bar to break that fucker loose, then pound with a rubber mallet on the end of the axle. (dont ------- mushroom the tip of it, or you are fucked)
