Default Crx stop running

Aright, so my crx started to backfire out the damn intake. timing right? thats what i thought, maybe the belt jumped a couple teeth. wrong, take off the cover and all the marks line up, so i thought maybe i flouted a valve. well i pull the head and there look fine, wtf!?

the only mechanical thing i found wrong was that the when i pulled the injectors there was a orange pastic cap thing missing on teh #2 cylinder. which is why the number 2 cyclinder was running pig rich.

any help here guys? could i have like semi-water locked it by driving my car in the rain with no hood?(even though i had a cover on the filter?(yea i know it was stupid but i had no choice)

you took the head off because it was mis firing?
that injector cap has nothing to do with anything and it didnt make it run rich.
to determine whether or not driving it around with no hood hurt it, try it again i think

i had to pull the head to replace the head gasket anyway, and i found out that it wasnt just the god damn filter cap that was missing, the #2 cylinder had a completly diferent injector in it.

yea i was afraid of ------- up my distributer, but i had to get to work, and i just couldn't seem to find the tim to finish my fiberglass hood.

That can't be good, if #2 looks richer its probably a differnet flowrate..which is gay

ok, so i tested each cylinder's valves by closing the valves in one at a time and poring in rubbing alchohal. well the #2 is leaking threw the exhaust valve,#3 all three valves, and #4 threw one intake and the exhuast valve.

The alvhohal didnt like poor out, so im guessing the valvesarent seating because of carbon build up? the engine has 212,000 on it so carbon build up wouldn't suprise me, should have seafoamed the car a while back.

And i check my dizzy, every thing lines up when its at TDC. i sprayed it down with pbblaster anyway.

IM really clueless here guys, i dont see how any of those would cause the egine to "run" like it did, i mean it soundedlike it was issing like 3 ------- cylinders, and the higher teh rpm i got it to the "better" it would run. coul dit be a ground or electrical problem? i tryed a new cap and rotor on it when it first started acting like this. is it possibbly my PCV? could the crankcse pressure cause it to run like that?

i think you're missing a valve in #3 then

so could caarbon buildup keep the valves from sealing? can this be adjusted? or are the valves goignt o have to be replaced? what about cleaning all the valves and seats?
