Default CRX rear disk swap last weekend

Last weekend I did a rear disk swap on my 90 HF (90 Teg brakes) and now my brake pedal goes through the floor before my car brakes
It was kind of expected but ----! I'm going to swap out the master cylinder as soon as I can get one, its nearly impossible to find one at a junkyard! anyways I'm hoping this will cure my problem, if not, sadly I will have to go back to drums ::shrugs::

I took pictures and will have it document as soon as I can get my pics hosted. Does anybody know (from experiance) if a larger master cylinder is the cure.

Heres the link to my Wanted thread if you got one for sale.

i hear the 90 crx si MC isnt a MUST. You must have air in the lines.. bleed again and again.

I'm sure the larger master Cyl. (13/16 to 15/16) will make a slight difference but not to the floor difference. Check the brake lines for leaks as well.

I did bleed the brakes, is this common for having air in your brake line?

Everything except the disk's, I couldn't get those screws that hold them in place loose, I was working without air tools and was affraid to strip them.

u need an impact driver for those little f'n screws. Its like 10$ from autozone. its like a chisle with a rotating bit on the end. when you hammer it down it compresses and turns whichever way it's set to. no stripping with that thing.

Did you put on a new prop valve?

priced a NEW MC ?

Let them gravity bleed for a while. If that does not work , pinch off the brake lines to one of the caliper one at a time , at the time its pinched try the pedal . If that does not work them do the back with both pinched lines and see if it goes up, if it does you have a problem with youre swap. However if it does not pinch both front and back and still no pedal time for another m.c. Also check the condition of the hoses.

I guess it wouln't hurt to bleed them one more time, and no I didn't change the prop valve. I'll just leave the disk's alone since they're still in really good condition, no need to change them out yet.

might be the prop valve. Drums use way less fluid.

Your probably right, I will hit the junkyard after work and hopefully pick one up. Then I'll give it a good bleeding and post the results tomarrow.
