CRX Rear Disc Brake conversion
Just wanted to know how much is it to go to a junkyard and pick up 2 complete rear disc brakes including trailing arm? A guy wanted to sell me a set for $100? But needs to be cleaned up a bit. What you think i should go for?

the're the ones that do most of the stopping |
Re: CRX Rear Disc Brake conversion
Ya I paid 125 for mine from a junk. I got the sway bar too so that was the extra 25. That include calipers, but of course I needed new pads and rotors.

Sounds like an Okay deal....he's not doing you any favors, but hes not ripping you off either

Re: CRX Rear Disc Brake conversion
if you need calipers they're expensive! I priced out autozone style ones for like $200ea.

Re: CRX Rear Disc Brake conversion
^^^^ Really? Where, if you have 88-91 EX knuckles, or integra knuckles you can re-drill 94 VTEC Prelude rotors and have a type-r sized brake setup. What most people don't know is that the Accord Wagon Calipers have IDENTICAL part numbers as a ITR. Go to honda and ask!!

What year integra knuckles?

Re: CRX Rear Disc Brake conversion
I did a rear disc conversion on my crx.. honestly I think it was a waste of time and even though I got them for free, I dont think the benifits are there unless you do some serious road racing. For the most part the stock drum brakes are more than adaqute. Your better off upgrading the front brakes to the 90-91 EX knuckle/setup.
