CRX power plant and Turbo

CRX power plant and Turbo
Hey guys I put this in General since it is more than a hybrid or FI question. I have been deployed in Iraq for 6 months. I have some change to play with and want to put it in my car. I have looked at all the swaps, and I like the b16, but I also like the zc more. I know that some people use the zc here and I want some input about:
A. A new engine to swap into my 88 CRX Si.
B. A turbo setup to add to it for maximum power.
I have about $4000 I want to spend, but will use more if necessary. Any info will be apprecicated.

w/ 4g.. depending on if you are doing the work or if some1 else is. I think you will like the b16 better. But when turboing it is more expensive to do because u can't use the "HF" style manifold on it like you can with any d-series.
The ZC is a good motor but is a little hard to get aftermarket parts for while the b16 you can get a part almost anywhere.
ZC = 130hp w/ 110ish TQ
B16 = 160hp w/ same TQ
A little cheaper then the b16 but more expensive then the ZC is the b18a. Its the integra LS motor and is 140hp, w/ 130 TQ.

Well if you are doing your own work the best set up in my opinion is a dohc zc or a sohc vtec swap. Then go either with a zex kit they work great or a homemadeturbo kit. With a d series swap and F.I you will whoop on most b series.

Re:CRX power plant and Turbo
I want a car that can run 12's or better. Ideally I want to get into the 11's and 10's. I basically want to be as fast as is possible, but I don't expect that on 4 grand. I want to get the first part of this done right, so that I have a good foundation for later on.

To "do it right" I'd say get some good race sleeves in what ever block you get.
I'd say LS if you wanna run 10s in the future b/c a sohc just isn't going to run 10s ( not saying it can't be done ) within a reasonable amount of money.
LS with sleeves, treated crank, maniley rods, forged pistions, and huge T3/T4 turbo set-up, and maybe some nos to spool it if the turbo is too big.
a 10 sec honda is never going to be a good daily driver.
If your thinking high 11's... I'd say D16z6/A6/Y8 block with sleeves, supra pistions, B16 rods, get it prof. balenced, T3/T4 garrett, and have fun.
None of the meantioned set-ups is going to run 10/11s without slicks.
