CRX Power Plant Choice

CRX Power Plant Choice
Ok. since my last post, I have done some research and I think I want to go with a ZC built block engine. do I want it sleaved or should I post it. I want to be able to run 12 psi on it. I chose this engine because of the ease of install, as well as the base cost so that I will have more money to spend on the build up and other parts. Anyone have a clue of what the time slip potential on a built zc would be?

Re:CRX Power Plant Choice
My next question is I want to either post the block or sleave it. Posting seems to be the cheaper route. Which is the better option, and what kind of sleeves will work best in a zc. I'm not that concerned about the cost as I have more than enough money to sink into this. I want to do it right the first time. This will be a daily driver, so I want it to be reliable under 12-15 psi of boost. I was looking at building it at a low cr of like 8.4, but I read Jeffs zc build it has a higher cr, in the 9's. I was under the impression from what I have read that a lower cr is better for boost. If I am wrong correct me. I plan on getting a Zdyne SECU Gold to run the car on so that I can tune it properly. I also will be getting a new map as well as injectors. Any recommendations will be greatly accepted on these items. I was planning on a T25 turbo like Jeffs first crx, but with a FMIC. If there is anything I am missing please let me know.

Re:CRX Power Plant Choice
A little history for you: Myles Bautista of RevHard performance used a ZC in his 1stgen CRX race car. He could only get low 12's to high 11's out of the car; that's it. Now this is a race car here we are talking about with nothing but an engine and wheels.
I was on the same quest 3 years ago, did Jeff's same setup except I used GOLDEN EAGLE SLEEVES (can stand 40psi boost). I sold it and went Bseries.
The ZC has plenty potential if fully built and tuned correctly. With it fully built in your crx with full interior...you'll probably run mid to high 12's at 15psi.
To run any faster you'll need a big laggy turbo with plenty of boost, like 24psi.
Finish the project and show everyone that the little engine that could, CAN open up a can of whoop ***!!!
