Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R

Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
my firend is buying a complete swap for about 2grand...think is he bought a wrecked rsx type-s at an auction. says its cheaper to do that than buy a jdm motor

Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
Sounds like a lot of work and a waste of time. Just go sleeved B and boost the ---- out of it.

Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
I'm wondering why people are referencing egs and del sols when he clearly asked about a crx.
if you have the time and money, go for it. pacman from the dreaded H-T has some sort of k20a in a crx of his, with itbs, and k-pro tuned. it is quick. |
Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
Look up "allmotorpacman" on Honda-Tech. He's got a K20 in a CRX. I'm not sure how well it would fit though, he's running ITBs and had to cut up the hood to make it work. I'd love to have a K20 in my DC since it's got a lot of potential as an NA engine, but as mentioned, it's $$$$$. I think I'm just gonna boost instead and still be able to hang ;D

Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
A K20 swap isn't any harder than an h22 swap. Its not like there's any hardcore fabrication involved, just wiring and turning bolts
|
Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
prolly gonna be cool but you can make an equivelint for the same price but not as unique as k20 i guess
|
Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
For the price I'd rather sleeeve and build a B-series block and boost it..and spank that K-series..

Re:CRX-K20 A2 TYPE R
Pfft. Why would you want to go through with something like that? Honestly, it's a waste of money. The swap would be overpriced in the end.
Like the other people are saying, sleeve a B and boost it. It just seems easier and better financially. |
