i have an H22 and i did a compression test and my nuumbers were as follows: 135, 135, 0, 135. obviously to me i ahve some serious problems w/ my #3 cylinder, but why would all the others be so low also? i figure no matter what i am going to have to rebuild it, but if there are other problesms except the bottom end, i would like to do it all at once.

 

what did you do to that poor engine?

 

did you hold the throttle wide open when cranking?

If so, that motor is HURT!!!!!!!

 

usually only ---- up/leaking/bent valve yeild 0 compression

 

o compression you mostly likely have a whole in your piston

 

it wasnt exactly 0 it moved slightly, but not enough that i could read it. i didnt holld the throttle open, so i will redo it. but how much of a difference does it make?

 

how long has the motor been sitting. the rings could be stuck to the pistons and give zero compression...happened to me once. spryed some penitrating oil down the hole and waited 5 minutes then cranked and it went from 0 to 280 in about 30 seconds of cranking.
