Re:Clicking noise
here's the specs...
valve clearances: inlet 0.13-0.17mm(0.005"-0.007")
exhaust 0.15-0.19mm(0.006"-0.008")
Oh yeah, my ZC has a ticking noise also, with regrinds and with stocker cams too, might be a sticky valve? :P

Re:Clicking noise
If it was a sticking valve that he would have a loss in performance which he hasn't mentioned yet. From what it sounds like you have a rod knock or something else from the lower end. You just about did everything to the top end as adjusted valves and checked oil. Take your valve cover off and see if you have any wear on the camshafts. Then try directing where the noise is coming from. you might have a rod or piston going or a frozen wrist pin. Also another thing to do is check your oil pressure because if the top end isnt getting oil than it will click. Take the distributor off and see if it clicks when you rotate it. possiblity it can be froze because the dist. is the last thing in the whole system to recieve oil because its the farthest item from the oil pump. Good luck on findng out what it is hope that helps.

Re:Clicking noise
What type of clicking is it? Like a very light tippity-tapping, or more of a heavier machine-like tapping? Is it only noticeable with your hood propped open, or is it loud enough to hear driving around on the street? If it's a real light sound, listen in the area of your fuel injectors as they can be quite "clicky" loud. If not, the valves or bottomend might be having some problems.
If you can describe the clicking let us know,
