Cleaning a Dissassembled Block

I say a long time ago of a nice shiney block cleaned with a Product that had the word "Purple" in it's name. nyone remeber or know what it is?

Or does anyone have and good block cleaning agents. I'm not just talking about degreasing it, I mean make it good enough to eat off of!! I have at work Acid wash that we use one our trailers before finishing, It's a high Acidity Cirtric, but I 've used this stuff in the ppast and it doesn't cut through grease that well.

Never Mind. After Scrolling trough 6 Pages Searching for "Purple" I found the post of Hotrex's Cleaning Engine Bay

Purple Power is what it is Called.

Well I started sandblasting mine last night too, but the head is not getting disassembled so I need a good and strong alternative for that.

i wouldnt sandblast a head imo. Just use the purple power and a wire wheel if need

No I don't want to sandblast the head. Right now it's soaking in a 5gallon tub af varsol getting hit be a wire brush every 30min or so. Works great. Next to no cost. I could find Pruple Power so this is what my parts guy suggested.

Figured since this thread was started I'll ask a question. I have my block disassembled as well. What if any, do you guys use to clean the area where the bearings go? I just used some paper towel to wipe it down... but brush or anything corrosive... any thoughts?
