Default Civic Clutch

Alright my buddies manual (around 1995) civic sohc vtec is acting up (all sotck, no mods). Im not sure what it is but when the car is started you cant shift into gear, if you do it pretty much grinds and you have to force it. If you even want to get it into gear you have to start the car with it already in gear and when you drive it you have to shift really fast to get the gear or you cant do it at all. So you have to stop in the middle of the road and start the car in gear. Theres no slipping when its in gear. Im clueless to what it could be, throw out bearing? Fluids are all topped off. Please let me know.

sounds like your clutch isint disengaging all of the way. might need to rebuild and bleed the slave or master cylinder

step 1: remove trans
step2: remove broken clutch springs from bottom of bellhousing
step3: machine flywheel
step4: install new clutch and shiny flywheel
step5: re-install trans
step6: stop "power" shifting stock 1.6 mad vtak car.
that should about cover it
