Idiot.
apparently takes one to know one. if its not wired up, then it won't have the oil pressure sensor signal to engage the vtak, therefore the ecu never dumps any extra fuel, it just runs the low cam all the time. i know because i'm doing the same thing with a z6 in a cx chassis right now. runs just fine except for that whole o2 sensor swap thing, but hey thats just annoying until it warms up

actually if the car is 94-95 it should be wired if 92-93 then no. My stock 94 cx was wired in the subharness you have to use the ex engine harness and ecu then you should be good. If you look at the actual honda dealer diagrams it proves my point. If you are running a good p28 you should be getting a cell if its not working.

This is what I thought as well, seeing as if you just plug in the ecu on my friend's car without the wire to the solenoid it dumps fuel and stutters.

I've been running a z6 with out vtec wired up for 3 months now. no stuttering problems here, revs to 7.5k no problem. i still dont' see how if the pressure switch isnt' wired up how the ecu would be sending extra fuel
