Has anyone installed an 88 91 CRX center console into an 88 91 Civic hatchback? I need to know if it can be done & what mods I need to do to make it fit? Thanks guys.

well ive tried this...my buddy has a 91 DX and we tried putting in the console but it doesnt fit...strange...but true...odd isnt it

It fits, you just need the entire CRX mounting bracket, the whole rear metal part that holds it up..Works mint, you just have a small gap at the top where the Crx dash usually comes out to meet the console

 

now wonder we couldnt get that ---- to work.

 

im pretty sure that the dash on the hatch is straight across, while the rex has the center section angled toward the driver slightly..making the fitment quite shitty.......... wont meet up right unless you change the entire dash, but...you can use an integra console and armrest.it works pretty sweet.....doesnt have to be gsr or anything like that, just a regular integra....it looks phat

 

So the Integra console will pretty much bolt in or are there any mods that need to be done? Thanks for all the info guys.

The intg. should work found one for my civic about a weel ago, but haven't recieved it yet.

 

as far as i know the teg one goes in easily..you may need to get the metal frame for it also.....i found a walk through somewhere online ..the dude showed the steps to do it...cant find it now though..

 

i like crx dashes anyway. i might look into that
