Default CEL 13? WTF?

So the other morning I go out to start the car and it throws 13 at me. I looked it up and it says BARO SENSOR. WTF is that? I don't even know what sensor that is. What should I be looking for?

89 crx d16y8 turbo pm6

Thanks.

it might be on the ecu board, it might be near the ecu under the dash..

that's all I can offer.

yea, its the atmosphere pressure code!

I would remove the hazard fuse and reset the ecu, then see if it pops up again! If so, then ill get you the sheet on the atmoshpere sensor, from a service manual, i can email it to you.

EDIT: I sent you a email to your Websites email? Hope it helps. Do i get a discount on my lines??

LOL jk!

Thanks Rob. I don't know what happened, but I haven't seen the code after that day. I guess it was just temporary.

Are you running the AFC Hack From what I have gathered, it is quite natural to get a CEL 13. The sensor is located in the ECU. I guess the hack sends on signal and that BARO sensor sends another and throws a code because the singlas are different. I dont know what its job is or what signal it sends but ALOT of people get it when running the hack. IF you arent running the hack......I dont know what to tell you. If the CEL persists, you may want to get another ECu or see if anythign is wrong with the one you have

Yeah...everytime I clear my codes and drive, I almost instantly get that code. I am running the hack as well and I flipped out the first time I saw it too.

the baro senser is not in the ecu but under the dash on the passenger side.

Are you sure? I thought the baro sensor was built into the ecu on american models. I've heard that European/JDM models have an external sensor, but i've always been told we got the short end of the stick...again
