ok here goes, i have a 99 civic ex turboed with a T3, uberdata and OBD1 conversion, 450cc injectors, and all the other stuff that goes along with a turbo.
i just got back from driving to the store and while i was coming home my car jerked real hard then died. so i coasted to a side street and checked everything out. it looked ok so i started it back up and started to linp it home because i didn't want to ---- anything up until i found out why it did that. so i am driving like an old lady, shifting at 3500 or lower and i noticed that when the tack goes over 3000 it starts jumping around like crazy. i also noticed that it is idleing at or around like 500. no CEL's but yesterday fo rno reason i got a code 17. cleared it and it never came back.
any suggestions to what i fucked up now?
yesterday it was running fine.

i also posted this on HT since HMT was down and all they can come up with is maybe my bottom end or distributor.

i was thinking that a friend of mine has a b18b swap that he is selling and he also has a b16a3 that i could talk him out of. so i be completley pissed if it is my engine.

check all your wiring on everything. injector plugs are still in, mine does this every so often. hard jerks then fucked up driving for a day or so. but it smooth's out? i dunno whats wrong with mine either i jus learned to live with it? haha

check cap and rotor.

start the car up, and start pulling plug wires off of the plugs. isolate the cylinder.
check plug.

check timing(belt).

okay just got back in. i took the dizzy cap off to check it out and there was a head of a screw in there found out it came off the screw that is supposed to hold the + wire on the coil. i had an extra coil i bought on ebay awhile back (don't know why), so i replaced it with that one but didn't even want to start so i figured that one is bad. so back to the one with the screw stuck in it, i drilled it out and tried to retap it but didn't work so i just put a piece of wire in the hole and started to solder away. gave it a few tugs and it stayed so i went out and soldered the other end to the + wire and put everythign back together and it fired right up with a normal idle .
