starter fluid! yay! If it starts for a lil bit..fuel problem...if it doesn't do anything- get a spark plug checker and check that! If thats not working...You sure you did the timing right?

i have try a fuel spray "spray when its cold " thats what it said, and still did not fire once, and i have change the main relay as well check all the fuses,i was thinking of the thing i added to the gas tank to clean my injectors, and i think that ---- ---- it up, so im gonna drain my fuel tank and try it again, cause it started befor, i added that but was wondering why my car wont start , and i had added thoes thing b4. any one know a way to drain the fuel, with out taking fuel tank out?

well i how the ---- would i know if there is a drain to it, i assume there is but havn't got a chace to check it.

What do the plugs look like? Have you done ANY work to the car before the last time it ran?


Yes, there is a fuel drain plug on the gas tank.

i did a dpfi to mpfi convert, and it ran fine, until i added the fuel injectors cleaner, so i just wanted to see if that is the problem, assuming that the fuel injecor cleaner is mix wrong with in the bottel that i bought.

ok man you have been fighting this problem for quite awhile.. with wrong parts and possibly not wired correctly.

Let me get this right, you did a SOHC ZC swap in your DX right?. First things first..

#1 dont worry about the fuel, the injector cleaner isnt the problem. However Crack the 7/8's nut on the fuel rail and just turn the key over to make sure you have fuel pressure, it should spray out pretty good.

#2 ensure that the you have the correct firing order of the spark plugs 1-3-4-2 Clockwise, make sure the rotor is in good shape, make sure the distributor cap is in good shape. Make sure the wires are ok, and make sure the plugs are nice and dry.

#3 Compression, how long has this engine been sitting? my guess is that all this time you have been cranking over the engine fuel has washed down the rings and your car cannot build any compression and wont even start. Do you have a compression gauge? have you dont a check? how about dumping 2 cap fulls of oil in each cylinder and then try starting.

#4 Your wiring, this is the most important, double check, tripple check that all your ---- is right. Obviously if you have no codes and you have spark you should be ok.

#5 Timing, Bump the engine over until you can see the timing mark on the crank pulley lined up with the mark on the timing cover. Make sure Cam timing is on. If this hasnt been fucked with you should be fine, but if you suspect someone has done a timing belt recently maybe you should just check.

I've had some hard engines that didnt like to start after they sat for 12 years (jdm engines) sometimes adding oil in the cylinders (with fresh plugs) and a little starting fluid will work.
