i got in my car alittle while ago to go to the gas station, and when i started it up i heard a fucked up ticking-type noise? i drove to the gas station and the noise kept on, it would go faster with the revs. so when i get back i listened under the hood and it sounds like its coming from the belts on the right side of the engine. anyone know what that could be BTW i haven't changed my timing belt yet and its got 113,000. Please HELP ME!!

 

Lets start with the retard questions. Did you check your oil? Have you adjusted your valves?

ya i checked the oil and i know its not the valves. it seems like its coming from the right side of the engine, like on the side, but its loud.

 

its hard to exlaint the sound , its like "tick a took a tick a took a"??

 

check if the plastic block/head cover is hitting any belts

 

i just pulled it all apart to check it out and change the timing belt, but i can't get the crank pully nut loose. i was really pulling on it too. it was bein a bitch, so now i don't know what to do.

 

i have one, but i didn't know if i could use it on that
