Hydro trans in a cable car is very common.

Hydro trans in a cable car is very common.



How is hydro tranny in a cable car easier then cable tranny in hydro car To put a cable tranny in a hydro car you just make the slave cylinder push the cable arm. To put a hydro tranny in a cable car you have to remove the whole cable clutch assembly and install a master cylinder on the firewall, a slave cylinder on the tranny, and and lines in between. I know thats not too much harder, but it requires more parts to buy and install.

You don't put the master cylinder and all that crap in there.

You just need to make a bracket that pivots like this:




Also, I see that some companies now make kits to put cable trans into hydro cars. Both are easy then with a kit.

THAT IS AWESOME..... NOW what i was looking for was the opposite... a picture of the Hydralic mechanism pushing the cable transmission arm. Anyone have a pic of that??

I tried, but I couldn't find pics of that.


To have the slave cylinder push the cable arm needs to be mounted under the arm. You need to get the positon correct to provide full movement of the arm.
