I am trying to help a friend out figure out what kind of pricetage he should put on his b20b shortblock. I told him not to do a b20 long time ago, and he did it anyways, so now ive got him convinced to sell that shortblock, keep the gsr head and what not, and find a gsr or ls shortblock for it, and go boost.

specs as follows

b20b shortblock
stock sleeves
je 12:1 forged pistons
Eagle Rods
ARP Headstuds
assembled with all new oem bearings, oil pump, water pump, etc.
mileage at this very moment is 3,489
built by a local shop here in Portland called TransAuto, and the guy that built it also does work for ImportSS which is another Portland shop.

What do you think this thing is worth?

 

the way i see them sold most of the time is that the money he paid for labor is gone, never going to recoup that. since the parts are used, that'd be a little deprecciation. to someone who wants that, he might get 800 out of it. but im not in the market for a built b20 so i dont know.

 

complete b20 swap with ls tranny ready to drop into any car is about 1500, slightly "built" and used, i doubt you'll get more then 600

 

send him over to honda tech maybe hell get lucky gfor 1000

 

I'd say part it out and then sell the block and crank on ebay. Probably around 1000 if he plays his cards right.

i think this guy is gonna end up taking 600 bucks for it with partial trade for a gs-r shortblock, so he ends up with 600 cash for turbo stuff and a gs-r in the car to boost on.
