Bseries tranny compatibility Q's
Beat me with a dumb shovel but I cant remember.
Can I use the clutch & PP from my 89' S1 on an 93ish cable LS tranny? This is determined by the flywheel used right? For some reason I keep thinking there was two different tranny output shaft spline counts depending on year.... must be the Down's kicking in...hey Corky! |
Re:Bseries tranny compatibility Q's
92-93's Have the bigger shaft on the tranns.. I think it might be the same tooth count. But the clutch discs dont interchange.
As far as Pressure plates, I'm thinking any B-series will work out. (thinking..) ;) Jeff |
Re:Bseries tranny compatibility Q's
Basically I found a LS tranny to use until I find another S1. (tired of using my roomates 20sec 'door slammer' 80 Civic)
Sounds like I'm screwed unless I can score the clutch disc with it huh? |
Re:Bseries tranny compatibility Q's
God, they cant be that much?
160 for a complete exedy kit.. |
Re:Bseries tranny compatibility Q's
God, they cant be that much? Due to the shaft size, I need the 92-93 flywheel to use the LS tranny right? TIA |
Re:Bseries tranny compatibility Q's
think all the B-series flywheels are the same...

Re:Bseries tranny compatibility Q's
Not all B-series flywheels are the same size, but I'm pretty sure they all interchange.
You should be able to use your old flywheel with the ls tranny.. |
