HIDS are probably the best advancement that has come to the automotive industry in a while....
if you don't live in a city i would strongly suggest you get them...just make sure you get 4300k temp or atleast don't go over 5000k.....thats where the gayness starts
also if you're gonna do them without projectors aim them slightly lower
it will probably be the best 300 bucks you spend no joke
i don't think i would ever be able to go back to regular bulbs - not where i live and down all the backroads at least

hey guyz...
alright.. this is the first time i use this site, but it looks really cool !
anyways, if i put the high beams in place of the low beams, do you think it'll work ?. .i'll try working on it the next few dayz.... hopefully it would work
see,.. i bought a set of Xenon bulbs before and ohh... my stocks did a better job... so, am not gonna buy any more bulbs and waste my money ....
if anyone knows a good source to get bulbs from, let me know... i need good high wattage bulbs, coz it rains alot where i live and you can't see anything in the rainy nights ......
any help would be great...!

i wouldn't do that, you might fry your wires. You'd be better off spending 250ish for an HID conversion kit.

way to bring back the old threads, but a higher wattage bulb will just burn out really fast or burn up your wiring harness. Your better off then to just get an HID kit, be patient and check ebay and stuff, i got a top of the line hid kit for 100 bucks shipped on Ebay, but you have to be patient. Good luck and welcome to HMT

hey guyz ...
thanx for advices ...
ok.. what i was going to do is just to put the high beam bulb with its wire inplace of the low beam bulb... so, basicly am not gonna play with the wires, i will take the high beam bulb with its wire out and will take the low beam bulb with its wire out then change places..... in this case, you need to use the high beam only .. becoz if you want to turn on the high beam, you have to turn on the low beam too .., so, what am going to do id , i`ll change bulb places with the wires, then i'll disconnect the low beam wire right at the bulbs.... you know, just take the plugs out... and i'll see what happens .... is it gonna brun my wires or my harness ??
i hope not ...
if i want to get fog lights.. i will have to put them some where under the front bumber... i drive a 95 camry coupe ..... i used t odrive 84 beamer coupe ...
by the way guyz .. if anyone interested in a driver side wrecked beamer, let me know... the car still running... and runs very good, but i cant afford any body shop.
if anyone needs the engine or anything... not a problem...
ok.. sorry, back to the headlight thing..... any advices will be great ....

Wow this is stupid. There is a reason driving with your brights on in traffic is a violation of law. There is a reason HID kits are illegal. Because they ------- blind people. Most HID kits don't allow for propper displays of light patterns. HID's normally project across a large range to illuminate a lot, and they also have a cutoff where as not to project into people's eyes too much. HID kits are just plug and play and do not have this feature.

If you want the brightest light bulb you can buy without breaking the law for your standard projects its Silverstars. They aren't too expensive. You could/can do a retrofit, which is installing another car's HID's into your car w/ projectors and all. They look very nice, it just requires a bit of extra effort. I recommend www.HIDplanet.com for any information you may have regaurding lighting.

The brightest bulb wont allow you to see the furthest. If you want to get technical Yellow(around 4000-5000k) is the best, followed by White(around 5000-6000k). Hence why fog lights are usually yellow.
