Default Bouncing tach!!!

Hi guy's, I just did an ecu conversion in my 2000 integra. I swapped with a chipped OBD1 ecu (P75). Now everytime I hit about 6000 rpm, the tach goes crazy!!! I mean it will jump from 6000 to 4000 even 1000. It's all over the place, but the engine still accelerates like normal. Any ideas?

check your coil,,whencoils go bad, the tach is hooked up to the - on the coil and it makes the tach go nuts in the high rpms and will eventurlly die

if it's an after market tach you should check the ground, when mine wasn't grounded right (taped on) it jumped from where it should read, down to anywhere it wanted, and came back.

Ok guy's I'll look into it. It's the factory tack in the dash, thats the thing that worries me... I didn't mess with anything in the dash or with the distributor. All that is still factory... Well see what happens. Thanks.

Thats what my damn oil pressure guage does. When it gets to the higher levels of pressure it goes nuts. But when the pressure is below 40psi (light cruise) and idle (20psi) its ROCK SOLID at the pressure levels.
