Re:blockgaurd or no?

i understand what a block guards intended purpose is, but what exactly makes them so bad?

Re:blockgaurd or no?

i mean if it was installed right, wouldnt it work for the intended purpose of supporting the upper part of the sleeves? that article looked like that guys block gaurd was installed a little crooked, one side lower than the other or something. but i still dont understand what makes em so bad. i mean pretty set on not getting one now but its just good to know

Re:blockgaurd or no?

From what i read its what the block gaurd is made of as your motor heats up the metal expands. that bock guard was made of a different material than the sleeves. so as it heated up it made a hot spot on the cylinders. but i dont see why it would oval the cylinders unless it was installed incorrectly. I would personally go with post from endyne. they are made with the same metal as our blocks so it gets rid of the hot spots. and you can put them on yourself.

My question how much boost can you run on a BUILT BLOCK with LOW COMPRESSOIN with out a block guard????
