Just yank them both. Pulling the axels is easy. It takes like 5mins a side to get the suspension out of the way, then just pull em out.

if you're alone take everything of..if you have some help leave the tranny...just use an alignment tool for the clutch and you're ok..

i've always done engine and tranny out the top.
jeff says its quicker to do just engine out the top, but it looks like a pain in the ass to me. |

I've tried it once and it's more work to just leave it in there and take the engine out and getting it back in. I'd say it'd be easier to take it out the top if your gonna leave the tranny in though.

no the ones ive done one i took engine and trans out the top then put the trans back in then the engine and it wasnt hard to line it all up really the rest ive done engine and trans out the top then both back in from the top together |

But i find it easier to swap it out from the bottom. But thats just my 2 cents. |
