best motor breakin method. ??
wel guys just bought some srp pistons and crower rods for project 300hp d series and am wondering the whatthe best breakin technique is. ive heard alot of em and was wondering.

for some reason my hanys manuel said to "quickly accelarate" form 30 to 50, then let go of the gas and let it decelarate, then do it like 12 times.. then run it easy for 500 miles....

There are so many different methods and opinions on breaking engines in that it's not even worth asking. You're going to get 75 different ways to do it and it will all come down to what you feel comfortable doing.

Fire that bitch up, let her run for 20 mins orso drive it around the block a couple times.. bring it home, change the oil and filter, and go have a blast for about 500 miles, then change the oil agian, and drive it like you did the previos 500 miles, and thats RAPING IT!
