Crower 404's (with valvetrain) ------- rock, and they idle sweet at 900 rpms too.

I tuned a CRX with them two weeks ago, the engine pulled at most -11 inches of vacuum, but it still pulls like a hoss from 3000-8000 and gets 30 mpg. It's B16CRXT's new setup if you want to PM him Q's.

404's are one of the best grinds out there. still streetable and they make good power in bone stock b18b's or fully built b20's like mine

ive seen a couple people use em with success on turbo builds as well

you just need stable vacuum for them to idle good, its not like you need a minimum of -15 or sumthin... if the idle wanders it will go from like -16 - -3 and your idle will suck. once the afr's are tuned in good for idle and you advance the idle timing a bit it gets nice and smooth at like 850-950 depending on where you have your cam gears.

ill give you a hint to JD they like the exhaust cam retarded and intake cam advanced. makes more in the entire rpm range from what ive found.

the more you retard the exhaust cam the more power it makes but the less vac you make at idle.

Sweet. When I get the car on a dyno I'll try that out and see. I know the car is already making significant power because it was drawing 4 inches of vacuum at WOT above 6500 rpms with a 62mm TB. I sent Chris right to chris to get one of his 68mm TBs before we dyno the car.

Thomas Sewell has a couple 200 whp LS/404 setups under his belt, I'll make a point of asking him for particulars when I see him tomorrow.

Hood scoop into the itb/carb/whatever intake you're using for forced NA. Good idea or the best idea?

what kind of intake setup.... im always interested in LS setups so just keep me in the loop.... havent seen much over 180-190 with 404's myself im currently at ~185hp/150tq on mostly stock head ports but i havent dynoed with my new header. im very confident that i could be close to 200 with some port work...

Oh ya I also have 80mm billet throttle bodies for the big power turbo guys if you ever end up tuning any in your woods. I should have pics up soon and pricing and there will be an option for BLACK. Honda Bolt Pattern
