The best engine for your application would be a D16z6, however the best overall D-series engine in performance (in a stock form) would be the JDM Dohc ZC 1.6l. It is possible to swap one in your 92-95, but you will need to swap alot of little things on it to make it work correctly with OBD1. Mista Bone seems to think there are tons of OBD1 ZC's floating around so maybe you can call him up to get one and get your tranny rebuilt.

i say the d16a6 is the best....my boosted a6 would whoomp on any other boosted honda!! 8)

2 reasons for my choice
#1 i dont like V-TEC
#2 i got it free

I just swapped mine... Z6 with a Y8 tranny.

It wasn't easy, but it works.

The best D series motor is the one already in your car, thats the joy of them. If you're going to swap to a stock engine might as well get a B.
