bell house swap
Has any one ever done a bell house swap from one transmission to another. Specificly on nissans transmissions? im looking to seehoe involved it will really be.
I have to make my current trans and drive shaft accept a ka24 motor, and everythink points to changing the bell housies

For the 100th time, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with the VG30. It is quite possibly the most bad *** V6 to ever come out of Japan. Dont yank it out just to install a worn out KA that will yield you nothing in the way of power/torque.
Keep the VG, read and search, boost the VG, be happy.

200sx SE got its engine bay crammed with the 300zx motor. Stock they are just ok, but think about a boosted 300zx with about 500lbs knocked off and better styling. Yeah.
The car has a shitload of potential. But not with a ------- KA when you already have a VG.

i have no room to turbo this car with the vg30 motor. Bedised it only has 9 more horse and torke power than the ka24. and yes their is something wrong with it. it has low compression with a lots of blowby. I also think that the timing belt is going out.
I wood redo the vg if I wanted all motor or nitrous, but the ka24 is better for what I want to do.

i have no room to turbo this car with the vg30 motor.Wrong. Bedised it only has 9 more horse and torke power than the ka24.It also has more displacement, and overall power potential. and yes their is something wrong with it. it has low compression with a lots of blowby. Which any used KA is going to have and you will have to rebuild anyway.I also think that the timing belt is going out.Change it. If you cant do that you have no business doing any sort of swap.
I wood redo the vg if I wanted all motor or nitrous,Dumb. but the ka24 is NOT better for what I want to do.
