Re:Beefing up a d15 block
I'd say for beefing it up would be to fill the cylinders with concrete and toss it into the lake, no but really you can't even use 1.6 rods to work unless you get them machined and then get it bored out for any 1.6 pistons to work. Too much for too less. Go find a 1.6 dx block or si block, since you should be able to buy them for all the change in your couch cushions from leftover swap.

Re:Beefing up a d15 block
OK I'D USE SRP FOGED PISTONS,EAGLE RODS,GET THE BLOCK SLEEVED AND A GOOD PORT AND POLISH AND A SET OF CRANE CAMS
I'D USE A T3/T4 TURBO AND A CUSTOM MANIFOLD RUN A NICE AMOUNT OF BOOST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE MPFI ON THE ENGINE AND I TUNE IT WITH GETTODYNE ON A SI ECU |
